What is Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy derives from the Greek word for water healing and is the oldest and safest way for treating many clinical conditions. Water buoyancy creates a weight free environment which offers a stress free support to muscles and joints, whilst allowing the dog complete freedom with his movements.

The non-weight bearing exercise:

Relieves pain, swelling and stiffness
Restores and increases muscle mass
Improves circulation

	The most important benefit is the dog's mental well being, and in our friendly centre, our aim is to keep your dog motivated for a successful recovery. We also offer fun swims in a controlled, clean environment, with a variety of toys to chose from.

Hydrotherapy Pool

Our newly built hydrotherapy suite offers fantastic facilities to aid rehabilitation in dogs. Our state-of-the-art pool is heated between 27C and 30C and measures 12ft by 8ft with a consistent depth of 4ft. We have gentle sloping ramps with resting platforms, allowing massage, physiotherapy and stretching to be performed whilst the dog has the support of the water. Either Peter or myself will accompany your dog in the pool allowing a closer bond with your dog.

Hot Spa

Heated at 40C the spa offers a passive form of hydrotherapy, providing elderly/arthritic dogs with improved mobility as well as easing muscular sprains/strains of an injured dog. Your dog can go in before/after the pool or as a treatment on its own.

Fitness Centre

We have a professional canine treadmill for dogs needing to lose weight, either before an operation or just to improve their general health. With our veterinary scales, we will monitor your dogs weight closely and liaise with your veterinary surgeon to ensure correct diet and lifestyle.


	Dog Hotel For certain cases we offer an in-house clinic offering 24 hour pre/post operative care. We will tailor make a program to suit your dog, having full benefit of our facilities, enabling the best results. Prices Hydrotherapy sessions are £16 per swim with discounts for block bookings. If your dog is insured, your insurance company will pay for treatment, but please check prior.
